PC: Survive in the Factory

The night shift never clocks out.

You are a detective walking into the abandoned TechCorp PC plant to find seven missing workers. The steel shutters slam shut behind you. Your only company: a failing flashlight, an evidence camera, and whatever is making that sound — the whine of dying cooling fans, the clatter of corrupted hard drives, the clank of metal legs on concrete.

Photograph the abomination. It hides in the dark between the assembly machines. Your camera flash is the only weapon you have — a blinding burst that can freeze the Mainframe in its tracks if you catch it facing you, but every shot drains your battery, and every battery has to be scavenged from dead drawers, toolboxes, and broken electronics while the thing patrols the floor.

Hold your breath. When the hunt gets too close, dive into a locker, under a server rack, beneath a desk — and listen. If it stops right outside, you'll need to hold still and hold your breath until the clanking fades. Fail, and it tears the hiding spot apart with you inside.

Find the way out. The Overseer's key and a heavy wrench are somewhere in the plant. Unbolt the boarded lobby shutters — and every screech of the ratchet calls the Mainframe home. Key, terminal, escape. Survive the shift.
