The board has come alive — and every piece wants you gone.
GAMBIT is a first-person wave shooter fought on a colossal marble chessboard at twilight. You hold the last white weapons. Across the board, the black army rises piece by piece out of the marble: pawns hop square-to-square in hunting packs, rooks grind forward like siege towers, knights vault the whole lane at you, and bishops glide in from impossible angles.
Three guns, five waves, one King.
Start with the Pawn Pistol and fight your way up to the Rook Breaker, a full-auto battle rifle, and the Bishop Lance — a hand-cannon sniper that ends a wave's worth of trouble with one shot. Every fallen piece feeds your reserves, and some drop a golden crown that restores your vitality. Then the music changes, the bell tolls, and the Black King himself steps onto the board.
Read the lanes. Use the statues.
Giant fallen pieces stand on the board as cover — break line of sight, funnel the pawns, and land your shots between hops. Survive all five waves and topple the King to claim the board. Fall, and the board falls silent.
